Stupenda cima appuntita simile a piramide, che con i suoi 1869 metri di altezza si erge nitida, gagliarda e suggestiva. Partendo da Bolognola si arriva tramite sentiero alla parete nord di Monte Rotondo e da là, con ripida e impegnativa salita si giunge alla Forcella della Cucciolara (mt. 1912 - ante cima di Monte Rotondo). A quel punto si prosegue verso la cima che si trova a destra della Forcella e una volta là sopra, digradando, si discende il pendio per arrivare alla sella; dopodiché, camminando sulla cresta (le pareti sono sia a destra che a sinistra molto ripide) rimane solamente di ascendere in breve tempo alla vetta di Punta Bambucerta. Da lassù, il panorama su Monte rotondo, la Forcella della Cucciolara e la Valle di Tela è veramente stupefacente. Forse non è stata la mia escursione più bella e lunga sui Monti Sibillini, ma certamente è stata la più entusiasmante.

Superb pyramid-like pointed top, which with its 1869 meters of height stands clear, strong and suggestive. Starting from Bolognola you reach the north face of Monte Rotondo via a path and from there, with a steep and demanding climb, you reach the Forcella della Cucciolara (1912m - before the top of Monte Rotondo). At that point, continue towards the top which is to the right of the Forcella and once above, descending the slope to reach the saddle; after which, walking on the ridge (the walls are both very steep on the right and on the left) it remains only to ascend in a short time to the summit of Punta Bambucerta. From up there, the view over Monte Rotondo, the Forcella della Cucciolara and the Valle di Tela is truly amazing. It may not have been my most beautiful and longest excursion in the Sibillini Mountains, but it certainly was the most exciting.
