Aesso è la sede della provincia di Grosseto, quindi non credo che sia visitabile (all'esterno non c'è nulla che indichi che lo sia). Very nice building externally. In the Middle Ages it belonged to the Aldobrandeschi family and the Emperor Frederick II also passed there. Aesso is the seat of the province of Grosseto, so I don't think it can be visited (on the outside there is nothing to indicate that it is).
D	Davide Pizzi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Agli esordi del 1898 cinquecento cittadini grossetani inviano al consiglio provinciale una petizione per l'acquisto e il ripristino dell'antico Palazzo Pretorio, destinandolo a sede degli uffici della provincia: il palazzo, dopo essere stato per lungo tempo la sede del podestà, ospitava all'epoca appartamenti privati e botteghe ed era composto da quattro diversi nuclei accorpati. Dopo aver accantonato, per la forte opposizione della popolazione, l'ipotesi di costruire la propria sede fuori delle mura, il consiglio provinciale delibera il progetto di nuova costruzione dell'immobile, demolendo gli edifici preesistenti. Vengono incaricati della redazione del progetto l'architetto Lorenzo Porciatti e l'ingegner Ciriaco Salvadori; la commissione giudicatrice, presieduta dall'architetto Guglielmo Calderini di Perugia, orienta la scelta verso il progetto del grossetano Porciatti, in considerazione dei costi e dell'aspetto estetico dell'opera. Il progetto realizzato, diverso da quello sottoposto alla commissione, è sostanzialmente rimaneggiato e modificato su "consiglio" del Calderini. Le demolizioni sono avviate nell'autunno del 1899 e i lavori, eseguiti dalla ditta Piero Ciabatti di Grosseto per una spesa totale di 68.408 lire, vengono iniziati il 5 aprile del 1900. Il nuovo palazzo è ufficialmente inaugurato il 31 maggio del 1903 alla presenza delle autorità. At the beginning of 1898, five hundred citizens of Grosseto sent a petition to the provincial council for the purchase and restoration of the ancient Palazzo Pretorio, assigning it to the offices of the province: the palace, after having been the seat of the mayor for a long time, housed all era private apartments and shops and was made up of four different merged nuclei. S	Sigfrido on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Palazzo Aldobrandeschi è uno dei principali edifici del centro storico di Piazza Dante e presenta una forte connotazione neogotica, dapprima residenza cittadina degli Aldobrandeschi in seguito il palazzo ha poi ospitato le istituzioni locali. In seguito al suo degrado fu ricostruito nei primi anni del 1900, l’edificio originale era risalente al medioevo, naturalmente si mantenne il suo stile neogotico, sicuramente si tratta di uno degli edifici degli più belli e apprezzati del centro storico. Palazzo Aldobrandeschi is one of the main buildings in the historic center of Piazza Dante and has a strong neo-Gothic connotation, at first the town residence of the Aldobrandeschi, later the palace then housed the local institutions. Following its deterioration, it was rebuilt in the early 1900s, the original building dates back to the Middle Ages, naturally its neo-Gothic style was maintained, certainly it is one of the most beautiful and popular buildings in the historic center.

Potrebbe sembrare una costruzione risalente a qualche centinaio di anni fa...in realtà è stato realizzato nel 1900! Quest'angolo di Grosseto è senz'altro tra i più affascinanti della città! Superb neo-Romanesque building overlooking a splendid square. It might seem like a construction dating back to a few hundred years ago ... it was actually built in 1900! This corner of Grosseto is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating in the city!
