★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent roasted chicken and side dishes. Eat in or take away. Smallest portion of chicken you can order is 1/2. Also have fish, pasta and salads. Take a number as you enter. For tourists like me who don't speak Italian, it would be best to learn how to say "take away" - da portare via - and to learn some basic numbers so that you know when your number is called and how much the bill is. I muddled through with the help of some friendly locals. Half chicken and large side of potatoes only €6.50, which made two meals for me.
Also should add google maps places the restaurant on the wrong side of the street. It's on the SE corner of Via Sofocle and Via Dinologo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After having enjoyed what might be the ugliest church around, you might need some sustinance. This litlle eatery is great fun - especially if you get here at noon/rush hour. 1/1 grilled chicken (sicilian style), 1 x potato al forno + 2 beers=€16. The price includes chaos, hellish noise and service in fluent Italian!
