La situazione non era semplice sia per i dubbi sull'effettiva attività della metastasi, poichè già trattata nello scorso anno con Cyberknife, che per la presenza di altre patologie che rendevano ancora più complesso l'intervento neurochirurgico. Stavamo pensando di rivolgerci all'Istituto Nazionale Neurologico Carlo Besta di Milano, quando abbiamo scoperto che in Puglia, presso il Policlinico di Bari, opera il prof. Francesco Signorelli, un'eccellenza della neurochirurgia internazionale. Ringraziamo il professore per la grande professionalità, competenza e meticolosità dimostrata in tutto il percorso di cura in cui mia madre è stata accompagnata. Grazie di tutto, ma soprattutto di avermi dato la possibilità di ritornare a vivere. Al Prof Signorelli e a tutto lo staff volevo dire che siete delle figure fondamentali per noi pazienti, sempre disponibili, rassicuranti e presenti. Il Prof in particolare lo ammiro per la sua trasparenza , da quando ho fatto il colloquio prima dell’Intervento a quando mi ha detto che sarei potuta tornare a casa.
