★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Albissola Marina é famosa, insieme ad Albisola Superiore, per la lavorazione della ceramica.
Tra le due cittadine è sempre esistita una grande rivalità e, per quanto la "s" in più di Albissola Marina venga attribuita ad un errore di trascrizione, da queste parti sono in molti a ritenere di carattere "volontario" quella disattenzione che marca ulteriormente la distanza tra le due comunità.
Pozzo Garitta è il borgo antico di Albissola Marina dove, già dalla prima metà del 1600, era attiva una fabbrica di ceramica.
E’ dei primi anni del 1800 invece, che la fornace restaurata è aperta al pubblico durante le esposizioni.
Nel corso del Novecento Pozzo Garitta divenne centro d’arte e di cultura, in questo luogo ebbero studio alcuni grandi maestri dell’arte contemporanea fra cui Lucio Fontana, un artista che aveva alle spalle una lunga carriera come scultore e pittore, legato alle esperienze Astratte ed Espressioniste.
Lucio Fontana fu inventore dello Spazialismo, un termine con cui si identifica un movimento fondato a Milano nel 1947, con la firma di un Manifesto, sottoscritto anche dai suoi allievi della Accademia di Altamira (Buenos Aires), dove si afferma l’importanza di un nuovo modo di concepire lo spazio: «vogliamo che il quadro esca dalla sua cornice e la scultura dalla sua campana di vetro».
L’arte non deve più sottostare alle limitazioni della tela o della materia ma può allargare il suo campo, espandendosi attraverso nuove forme e tecniche espressive.
Albissola Marina is famous, together with Albisola Superiore, for the working of ceramics.
There has always been a great rivalry between the two towns and, although the "s" in more of Albissola Marina is attributed to a transcription error, in many parts there are many who consider the "inattention" to be a "voluntary" character that further carelessness distance between the two communities.
Pozzo Garitta is the ancient village of Albissola Marina where, since the first half of the 1600s, a ceramic factory was active.
In the early 1800s, however, the restored furnace was open to the public during exhibitions.
During the twentieth century Pozzo Garitta became a center of art and culture, in this place had some great masters of contemporary art study including Lucio Fontana, an artist who had a long career as a sculptor and painter behind him, linked to Abstract experiences and Expressionists.
Lucio Fontana was the inventor of Spatialism, a term that identifies a movement founded in Milan in 1947, with the signature of a Manifesto, also signed by his students from the Academy of Altamira (Buenos Aires), where the importance of a new way of conceiving space: "we want the painting to come out of its frame and the sculpture out of its glass bell".
Art no longer has to submit to the limitations of canvas or matter but can broaden its field, expanding through new forms and expressive techniques.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un angolo nascosto storico di Albissola Marina. Atelier di Lucio Fontana aa 50/60. Ora sede nel cortile di diversi artisti di ceramica pittura ecc.. Peccato che lo sguardo incroci in alto brutti palazzi. Ma questa è la Liguria nel contrasto antico e l'orrore costruttivo edilizio

A curious and unexpected place in the historic center of Albissola Marina .. it's worth getting a ride even to see a very well restored furnace.
