 Small port of Catania mainly used by fishermen but in the summer also by private and tourist boats. It is characterized by the Etna volcano in the background making it a postcard of the city for visitors.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ pathway extends down to catania centrale train station; but going north it fails to make the connection to the same kind of pathway that goes along the coast all the way up to Acireale, only a short distance of a few hundred meters is missing but it would make a great pilgrimage trail if the dots were simply connected, that would also alleviate traffic which is unfortunately quite noisy and should be diverted elsewhere
