Grazie
For one occasion I went on foot and saw this WONDER of time. It was not the first time I passed it, but having time and tranquility, I translated this painting, with different and less distracted eyes. How many times have I passed by things, people, in moments when I am in a hurry, remaining indifferent to them?
Today I was not able to take some pictures as it was raining, and I'm sorry, but I guarantee the suggestion that "causes" a similar BEAUTY. Thanks

Historic gateway to the center, very well maintained. Not open to visitors, except during some events.
Continuing on foot on the sidewalk to your left (with your back to via Facciolati and keeping the hospital on your right), you can also admire a part of the Walls and the Pontecorvo Bastion, immersed in a municipal park (in which, I remember, it is possible to enter, but camping and barbecuing are forbidden, as well as disturbing residents with noises).

historical site and landmark of the city of Padua. In the past, when the city was surrounded by walls, it was a gateway. Nice to admire, but it seems that it is not possible to visit it beyond some specific events. It could be better maintained and re-evaluated for tourism.

This monumental gate, originally Liviana, in honor of Captain D'Alviano, who died in 1515, is known by all as the Pontecorvo gate because it is located on the square that bears this name.
Historic entrance to the city, it delimited its borders. To pause and give some attention to this piece of Paduan history, sometimes forgotten.
