Beautiful entrance portico to the historic center of the city. It is worth stopping in the square to have a drink and contemplate it for how beautiful it is. Also known as the Lecce Gate, since it is oriented towards this city. Or also as the Door of the Spanish, in memory of the entry of the troops in 1504 after a long siege of the city. It was rebuilt in 1727 by the Marquis of Oria, and thus preserves the Baroque style. Upon entering the city, there is a tombstone with a Latin inscription that refers to its construction. It has the coat of arms of the city. Seen from the square, there is a beautiful fresco of the Crucifixion of Jesus, rebuilt in 1994.
