★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La porta della Croce, o di Cagnone fu costruita nel 1714, al tempo di Michele Imperiali III ed era un autentico portale d'ingresso della città settecentesca. La facciata, bugnata sulla parete verso l'esterno, è interrotta da un unico fornice, fiancheggiato da due corpi lievemente aggettanti. É una delle tre porte di accesso al centro storico della città, ben conservata e bella da vedere per chi visita Francavilla Fontana.
The door of the Cross, or of Cagnone, was built in 1714, at the time of Michele Imperiali III and was an authentic entrance portal to the eighteenth-century city. The façade, rusticated on the wall towards the outside, is interrupted by a single archway, flanked by two slightly projecting bodies. It is one of the three access gates to the historic center of the city, well preserved and beautiful to see for those visiting Francavilla Fontana.
