Offriva uno dei tanti accessi all'acropoli situata all'interno delle mura poligonali, inoltre facilitava la difesa da parte dei soldati che ostacolavano l'arrivo dei nemici. La sua costruzione risale al II-I secolo a.c.
Along the homonymous street it is possible to admire the remains of the ancient Porta Casamari. It offered one of the many accesses to the acropolis located within the polygonal walls, and also facilitated the defense by the soldiers who hindered the arrival of enemies. Its construction dates back to the II-I century BC.
