★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Porta angioina di Campli anche detta porta orientale è l unico resto della cinta muraria del sistema di difesa di Campli tra il tredicesimo e quattordicesimo secolo. Risale all' epoca degli angioini ed ha eleganti archetti a tre mensole in pietra s quarto di cerchio probabilmente risalenti ad una sopraelevazione del 400. Su di essa svetta la torre campanaria della vicina chiesa di s. Giovanni del 1400. Sopra la volta dell' arco sono ancora visibili tre insegne angioine un pochino rovinate dal tempo. Buona visita a tutti
 Porta Angioina di Campli also known as the eastern gate is the only remnant of the walls of the Campli defense system between the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. It dates back to the time of the Angevins and has elegant arches with three stone shelves and a quarter circle probably dating back to the 1400s. On it stands the bell tower of the nearby church of s. Giovanni from 1400. Above the arch vault, three Angioine signs are still visible, a little ruined by time. Good visit to all

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La porta Orientale, ultima testimonianza della cinta muraria difensiva di Campli. Eretta tra il XIII e il XIV secolo, nel luogo chiamato "IL CASTELLO".
Li sorgeva la chiesa di Sant'Antonio Abate, ora non più esistente, All'epoca degli Angioini era l'unico reperto ancora in piedi, per questo conosciuta ad oggi come Porta Angioina.
Purtroppo oggi è tutta transennata ed imbragata a causa del terremoto del 2016.
The Eastern gate, the last evidence of Campli's defensive walls. Erected between the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, in the place called "THE CASTLE".
There was the church of Sant'Antonio Abate, now no longer existing, at the time of the Angevins it was the only find still standing, for this known today as Porta Angioina.
Unfortunately today it is all cordoned off and harnessed due to the 2016 earthquake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Porta Angioina (detta anche del Sole, Orientale, di San Giovanni) di Castelnuovo, unica rimasta delle dieci porte esistenti nel XIV secolo a protezione dei tre nuclei fortificati di Nocella, Campli e Castelnuovo e unico resto della cinta muraria del sistema difensivo di Campli. Alla fine del XV secolo venne eretta la Torretta campanaria asservita all'attigua Chiesa di San Giovanni. Ultimamente, a causa del terremoto dell'agosto 2016, la porta è imbracata e pontellata per sicurezza ed è in attesa di restauro.
Porta Angioina (also called del Sole, Orientale, di San Giovanni) of Castelnuovo, the only remaining of the ten gates existing in the fourteenth century to protect the three fortified nuclei of Nocella, Campli and Castelnuovo and the only rest of the walls of the defensive system of Campli. At the end of the fifteenth century the bell tower was erected, enslaved by the adjoining Church of San Giovanni. Lately, due to the earthquake in August 2016, the door is harnessed and bridged for safety and is awaiting restoration.
