A	Alfio Rosano on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il ponte si trova sulla Strada Statale 18 all'interno di Bagnara Calabra, tra le due parti che compongono il paese, dicesi inferiore e superiore. Costruito nel 1825 prende il nome del suo costruttore. La sua imponente e maestosa mole attira lo sguardo sia perché disposto in maniera tale che bisogna attraversarlo tre volte, sia per la sua meravigliosa posizione che offre un’incantevole visione da sembrare un balcone sul mare. Nel periodo che va dalla fine della II guerra mondiale agli anni sessanta, quando Bagnara non era ancora stata invasa dal cemento lecito ed illecito e la struttura di questo “monumento” era godibile da ogni angolo del paese, molti pittori venivano a dipingere le loro tele ricostruendo l’insieme del paesaggio che dal ponte scendeva verso la marina dove le chiese del Carmine e del Rosario ed il verde adiacente sembravano protetti da questa elegante opera. Distrutto durante la seconda guerra mondiale, il 4 settembre del 1943 ad opera dei tedeschi in fuga, fu ricostruito tra il 1945 ed il 1946 dalla ditta Oscar Pistolesi che lo ebbe in sub-appalto dalla ditta dell’ ingegnere Giunta di Reggio Calabria.
