★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I due ponti denominati della Madonna e di Santa Lucia (o anche ponte Castruccio) a Castelnuovo di Garfagnana sono tra le infrastrutture più importanti e architettonicamente significative della viabilità storica nella regione, poste a scavalcamento rispettivamente del torrente Turrite Secca e del fiume Serchio, hanno agevolato le comunicazioni e i commerci, favorendo la penetrazione nell’entroterra appenninico. Tutti e due i ponti furono fatti brillare dai militari tedeschi durante le operazioni di ritirata nel 1945 e poi vennero ricostruiti fedelmente al termine del conflitto. Il ponte della Madonna, in blocchi di arenaria, è provvisto di due arcate a tutto sesto (di cui quella verso il centro di Castelnuovo presenta maggiore ampiezza e di conseguenza un andamento a leggera schiena d’asino con rampe ascendenti) con parapetti, spalle innestate direttamente sulle coste rocciose del torrente Turrite e pila centrale dotata di un affilato rostro tagliacque.
 The two bridges called the Virgin Mary and Saint Lucia (or even Castruccio Bridge) in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana are among the most important infrastructure and architecturally significant of the historic roads in the region, located in bypassing the stream respectively Turrite Secca and Serchio, facilitated communications and trade, favoring penetration into the Apennine hinterland. Both bridges were made to shine by the German military during the retreat operations in 1945 and then were faithfully reconstructed at the end of the conflict. The bridge of the Madonna, in blocks of sandstone, is provided with two round arches (of which the one facing the center of Castelnuovo has a greater amplitude and consequently a trend to lightweight humpbacked with ascending ramps) with parapets, shoulders grafted directly on the rocky coasts of the Turrite stream and a central pile with a sharp cut-edge rostrum.
