β β β β β La polizia locale di Bologna, mi invia una notifica di una multa della mia autovettura. Guardando la foto dell'infrazione, risulta un altro mezzo, Γ¨ un furgoncino, la quale targa, ha due lettere diverse dal numero di targa della mia autovettura. Intanto, ho perso tempo e denaro .....
 The local police of Bologna send me a notification of a fine for my car. Looking at the photo of the infringement, there is another vehicle, it is a van, which license plate has two letters different from the license plate number of my car. Meanwhile, I lost time and money .....

β β β β β Vergognosi, mi sono arrivate ben 4 multe a distanza di 7 giorni per aver invaso la corsia riservata agli autobus in Via Berlinguer. Peccato che l'ho fatto non intenzionalmente visto che non era ben segnalato! E un'altra sempre negli stessi giorni in Via Del Lavoro (posto la foto per la dinamica vergognosa). Ma non pensate a chi non riesce nemmeno a prendere un vestito al proprio figlio?? Se una persona percorre la corsia riservata per tante volte in pochi giorni non pensate che semplicemente non lo sa e non se ne accorge?
Inutile dire che faccio subito ricorso.

β β β β β Ieri sera ho oarlato con due vigili di persona per chiedere linvio di un carro attrezzi ma non c'Γ¨ stato nulla da fare, hi chiamato due volte ore 20 e ore 21 corca, la centrale presso la quale una gentile risponditrice mi confermava l'invio del carro attrezzi appena possibile, finale della storia, sono riuscito ad uscire di casa alle 22,50. Last night I spoke to two policemen in person to ask for a tow truck to be sent but there was nothing to be done, I called twice at 8 pm and 9 pm corca, the central where a kind answering machine confirmed the sending. of the tow truck as soon as possible, final of the story, I managed to leave the house at 22.50. β β β β β Sono 3 anni che mi inviano per sbaglio una contravvenzione sbagliando la trascrizione della targa. Compilando il modulo sul sito riportato sulla notifica viene fuori una mail a cui Γ¨ impossibile inviare una risposta dal proprio indirizzo mail perchΓ© ritorna indietro. Agli altri indirizzi email presenti sul sito non risponde nessuno. Altamente poco professionali, per la loro negligenza non paga nessuno, restano impuniti, e noi siamo costretti a doverci giustificare per colpe non commesse ed a fare file interminabili agli sportelli!
They have been sending me a fine for 3 years by mistake by mistaking the transcription of the license plate. By filling out the form on the site shown on the notification, an e-mail will come out to which it is impossible to send a reply from your e-mail address because it comes back. Nobody responds to the other email addresses on the site. Highly unprofessional, no one pays for their negligence, they go unpunished, and we are forced to have to justify ourselves for wrongdoing and to queue endlessly at the counters!

β β β β β I've driven plenty of countries in the world, and been stood over by corrupt police, like in Vietnam.
But Bologna doesn't even bother to employ police to stand your over, they just install cameras to fine you for entering areas that aren't adequately signposted.
My last visit to Bologna I got three fines totalling more than $500 Australian dollars, that were totally automated based on infractions I never knew I committed at the time. They were sent by post more than 6 months after I visited.
Bologna's a beautiful place I've visited several times, with lovely restaurants and a great historical ambience. But the choices being made by the municipal authorities effectively imposing a brutally expensive tax on visitors mean I'll never visit again.

β β β β β Absolutely incredible, I received a fine via post for entering the ZTL zone in Bologna. The only way how to file a complaint against this is in Italian and in written form. Because I had a permit from the B&B where I was staying, I tried to make an appeal via their ticketing system, since I don't speak Italian. After waiting for more than a month, nobody even cared to reply. I also had to pay the fine anyway within five days because otherwise I would have to pay more.
Nice way how to grab cash from tourists, there is basically no way how to defend against this. Nice way how to improve the image of Italian public service!

β β β β β A perfect racket designed for tourists! They send you multiple traffic violations about $500 that you don't even know if you have committed a year after your stay in Bologna, based on a zoomed-in photo of the rental car license plate without any other reference or background photo showing where you were. Claiming you entered a street you were not supposed to. No proof of whether there were do not enter sign or where you really were on that street. You can only appeal in Italian language within 60 days of the violation!!! Based on other reviews here it seems like I was not the only one who got scammed. Others are complaining about the same thing.

β β β β β Avoid driving in Bologna. The police has set all possible scams and traps to fine people who are not used to drive in the city. The comune di Bologna has set up a disgusting money printing machine using the Polizia as racket collectors.
