We enjoyed our stay at the campsite, beautiful view and food. Be aware that you are on a farm amongst animals (many flies too), some of them (peacocks, cat, dog) walk around freely, which we didn't mind. Our arrival on the campsite wasn't nice, because the reception was already closed. The day after everything was arranged and we moved our tent to the right spot with electricity. The staff is mainly focused on their work on the restaurant and the farm, so to us it felt less personal and friendly as we experienced at other campsites. Overall very nice campsite.

Arrived here as our first stop upon entering Toscana at the end of a very long road trip from Istanbul and Podere Il Casale did not disappoint! The farm to table sheep’s cheeses and pork/boar salami were full flavored and delectable. The wine by the glass list was inspired. The vista views of Montepulciano were unbelievable. Really nice Swiss origin family running the place too. As we settle into our new Italian life, will definitely make a point to return here where we were welcomed so warmly.

2 stars because view is amazing (although you can find similar in other places) and food was pretty good. However staff has no common sense. We made a last minute reservation and we’re excited to visit with our 10 month old baby. They gave us a table with very little shade on a 38degree whether. There were free tables under the shade but they said “those are reserved”. We swallowed our food as fast as we could because it was just inhumane to let a baby sit in such condition taking turns standing on a shaded area with him. By the time we left the same tables under the shade we’re still available. Had we known that they would have placed us under the heat we wouldn’t have come. Or they could have said “look those tables are reserved but they will arrive in an hour. Do you think you can leave in an hour?” Plus the farm visit is definitely not worth it. It’s not organized, you don’t know where to go and find the animals. Front desk guy (quite a nice guy but a bit clueless) just said “oh to see animals just go up there” pouting to nowhere visible. I was expecting so much more, maybe the possibility to have a guided visit, for my baby to see up close some animals to enjoy lunch but regret visiting.

We had a blast with Sandra making pasta. She gave us a tour of the farm and we watched the sunset set with a glass of wine before making three different pastas and sauces. Then we got to eat the three pastas + a sampling of the farms cheeses + dessert + coffee. It was so fun and a very memorable part of our trip, Sandra is so great, and the farm is gorgeous.

Nice view and good food. Some food is a bit expencive. 10 EUR for very small salad. But portion/price of other food was not so bad. You have to make reservation, because they are very busy. The view is all arround the hills and they also have vine and cheese shop.

An absolutely wonderful family farm! Greeted by peacocks as we arrived. Had a divine lunch - one of the best meals I’ve had in Italy - cheeses were superb, the farm olive oil and vegetables were delicious. We had to take some of the “drunken cheese” home it was so unique. The house wine was excellent as well. A chance find - we were looking to have lunch between going to all the wineries. And it really became a highlight of the trip. Not to be missed if you are in the Moltepulciano area. Will be definitely back!

A great place! It's a farm with an attached restaurant. This proximity of the kitchen to the ingredients is truly felt in all dishes, both vegetarian and meat. All super tasty, fresh and crisp.

We had the best time here. The farm tour with the owner was really good fun and gave us a deep insight in to just how much they care about the produce here. We ended up having a four course lunch with Spumante and some of their own wine. We walked there and back from Monticchiello, but it was very well worth it.
