M	Mateuzzo schia on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pinacoteca discreta. interessante la parte medievale, più che altro perché è possibile avvicinarsi a delle colonne, capitelli, decorazioni che di solito si vedono a metri di distanza la parte sul rinascimento è un po' scarna ma comprensibile data la storia di Paolo Giovio e della sua collezione di ritratti. la quadreria storica è molto bella, nonostante ci siano artisti poco noti a livello nazionale è bello trovare delle chicche in questi quadri stessa cosa vale per la sezione del novecento anche se trovo migliore la quadreria. la parte migliore della pinacoteca è la sezione dedicata a Sant'Elia molto interessante e affascinante, bellissimo vedere i modelli virtuali delle sue architetture mai realizzate Discreet picture gallery. the medieval part is interesting, more than anything else because it is possible to approach columns, capitals, decorations that are usually seen from meters away the part on the Renaissance is a bit sparse but understandable given the story of Paolo Giovio and his collection of portraits. the historical picture gallery is very beautiful, although there are little known artists on a national level it is nice to find some gems in these paintings same thing goes for the section of the twentieth century even if I find the picture gallery better. the best part of the picture gallery is the section dedicated to Sant'Elia very interesting and fascinating, it is wonderful to see the virtual models of his never-built architectures

D	Daniela Tonini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Poco conosciuta, peccato. La parte medievale ha un allestimento suggestivo e dei bei reperti di affreschi staccati e opere lapide dei Magistri comacini. Interessante la raccolta di ritratti di Paolo Giovio. La quadreria storica presenta opera manierista, barocche, settecentesche...che non sono propriamente nelle mie corde. Intriganti i disegni architettonici avveniristici di Antonio Sant'Elia, futurista deceduto nella Grande Guerra. E anche alcune opere moderne del Gruppo di Como colpiscono. Peccato la mancanza di didascalie nell'ultima sala, non so se per la situazione attuale o perché mai messe proprio. Little known, too bad. The medieval part has an evocative setting and beautiful finds of detached frescoes and tombstone works by the Comacini Magistri. The collection of portraits by Paolo Giovio is interesting. The historical picture gallery presents Mannerist, Baroque, eighteenth-century works ... which are not really my thing. The futuristic architectural drawings of Antonio Sant'Elia, a futurist who died in the Great War, are intriguing. And some modern works by the Como Group are also striking. Too bad the lack of captions in the last room, I don't know if for the current situation or why they never put it right.

Aperto dalle 10 alle 18 tranne il lunedì. Well set up small museum. The works are interesting and document the art of Como from around 1000 onwards. Strangely absent the 19th century. Open from 10am to 6pm except Mondays.

B	Ben Philip Panicker on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic place to witness the art and history of Italy. The old school chairs and desks, feels so real to travel back in time, artifacts presevred for a century or more are still looking new. It's a great place.
