Da farci una passeggiata mentre si aspetta il traghetto oppure se si vuole andare a vedere il Life Electric, il monumento dedicato ad Alessandro Volta (nativo di Como) l' inventore della pila. A beautiful walk along the Como lakefront, with gardens and benches where you can admire a wonderful landscape. To take a walk while waiting for the ferry or if you want to go and see the Life Electric, the monument dedicated to Alessandro Volta (a native of Como), the inventor of the battery.

Il lungolago si trova nei pressi della stazione dei treni Como Lago, facilmente raggiungibile attraversando il tratto stradale. Passeggiata Amici di Como, in particolare, precede l’ingresso ai Giardini del Tempio Voltiano, un bell’agglomerato di verde dove ci si può riparare dal sole e dal caldo estivo, e dove passare momenti di tranquillità. La Passeggiata si trova vicino all’opera Life Electric, visibile durante tutta la camminata. È inoltre situata proprio di fronte al centro storico, dove poter gustare appetitosa gastronomia locale. Le acque del lago al momento della visita non erano pulitissime a riva ma comunque molto limpide. Cigni, anatre e anatroccoli, pesci e fauna locale vivono nei loro pressi. Nel tratto di acqua dietro al Tempio Voltiano bambini, adulti e cagnolini si godevano un piccolo tratto di lago più propenso alla balneazione. Nei fine settimana il lungolago tende ad affollarsi, specialmente in estate, ma la camminata non viene totalmente compromessa. Consiglio a tutti quelli che, allontanandosi dal caldo cittadino, vogliono intraprendere una rilassata gita romantica fuori porta. ROMANTICISM AND TRANQUILITY A long romantic and peaceful walk on the shores of Lake Como. The lakefront is located near the Como Lago train station, easily reachable by crossing the road section. The Amici di Como Walk, in particular, precedes the entrance to the Giardini del Tempio Voltiano, a beautiful cluster of greenery where you can shelter from the sun and the summer heat, and where you can spend moments of tranquility. The Promenade is located near the Life Electric work, visible throughout the walk. It is also located right in front of the historic center, where you can enjoy delicious local cuisine. The waters of the lake at the time of the visit were not very clean on the shore but still very clear. Swans, ducks and ducklings, fish and local fauna live near them. In the stretch of water behind the Volta Temple, children, adults and dogs enjoyed a small stretch of lake more prone to bathing. On weekends the lakefront tends to get crowded, especially in summer, but the walk is not totally compromised. I recommend to all those who, away from the heat of the city, want to take a relaxed romantic trip out of town.
