Quella di Santa Maria a Micciano è documentata fin dal 1080, entrata poi nell'orbita dei Camaldolesi dal 1104 al 1198. Nel 1880 l'edificio subì un radicale con la trasformazione del corpo principale in un'unica navata. L'edificio si trova tra Anghiari e la sua frazione Motina e si riconosce anche da distante, pure dalla cima di Montedoglio. The countryside of the Valtiberina is full of churches, abbeys and chapels. Some of these are very ancient. That of Santa Maria a Micciano is documented since 1080, then entered the orbit of the Camaldolese from 1104 to 1198. In 1880 the building underwent a radical transformation with the transformation of the main body into a single nave.
