L'edificio attuale fu costruito verso la fine del XII secolo o agli inizi del secolo successivo; la parte più antica sembra essere quella corrispondente alla facciata e in particolare al portale maggiore. La parte terminale è stata completamente alterata con l'abbattimento dell'abside originario nel 1653 per costruirvi il coro. The current building was built towards the end of the 12th century or at the beginning of the following century; the oldest part seems to be the one corresponding to the facade and in particular to the main portal. The terminal part was completely altered with the demolition of the original apse in 1653 to build the choir.

Die steinigen im Aussenbereich sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber passt dafür ins Bild dieses kleinen alten Dorfes. Auf alle Fälle einen Stop wert. È una chiesa romanica successivamente rimaneggiata in modo importante nel XVII secolo e in seguito alla seconda guerra mondiale a metà Novecento. Restano di grande interesse il portale d' ingresso centrale e quello di accesso laterale. Molto bella anche la posizione urbana in cui sorge questo edificio religioso, forse il più antico e interessante di San Quirico d'Orcia. The collegiate church of Santi Quirico e Giuditta is a Catholic parish church built between the 12th and 13th centuries on the remains of a building dating back to the 8th century. It is a Romanesque church which was subsequently remodeled in an important way in the 17th century and following the Second World War in the mid-20th century. The central entrance portal and the lateral access portal remain of great interest. The urban location in which this religious building stands, perhaps the oldest and most interesting in San Quirico d'Orcia, is also very beautiful.

Nel transetto di sinistra, assolutamente degno di nota, un politico di Sano di Pietro (XV secolo) che raffigura la Madonna in trono tra i Santi, tra di essi San Quirico. Nella parte centrale del pavimento si trova la tomba di Enrico di Nassau, morto nel 1451. The Pieve di San Quirico, commonly called the Collegiata, was built in the 12th century on the remains of a pre-existing 7th century Baptistery, it is the most important place of worship in the town. Its interior with a single nave features a valuable High Altar with a beautiful 15th century Ciborium. In the left transept, absolutely noteworthy, a politician from Sano di Pietro (15th century) depicting the Madonna enthroned among the Saints, among them San Quirico. In the central part of the floor is the tomb of Henry of Nassau, who died in 1451.

La chiesa ha una pianta a croce latina con la presenza di un’unica navata e cappelle absidali. All’interno si trova una bellissima pala d’altare quattrocentesca con la Madonna e il Bambino, gli angeli e i santi su uno sfondo dorato. Naturalmente merita una visita visto anche altri capolavori d'epoca che si trovano al suo interno. The building was built in the 12th century to replace an ancient parish church.
