★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The square dates back to the end of the nineteenth century when a large one filled with the coast line allowed the construction of the square, the promenade and Viale Gramsci.
At the center of the square stands the fountain with the splendid statue of the Parthenope siren which is positioned on a rock with animals and aquatic plants.
According to Greek legend, she killed herself because her love for Odysseus was not reciprocated and her lifeless body was dragged by the currents in the place where today stands the Castel dell'Ovo. Episode that will give the name to the city of Naples.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ More like a rotunda than a piazza. The monument to Parthenope the siren is in the middle of the rotunda. According to the legend Parthenope founded the city of Naples. Neapolitans call themselves "partenopei" because of her.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great Pizzas at an unbelievable price. The staff were really friendly even if their english wasnt great, they still took good care of us. Lots of choice on pizza, something for everyone
Only issue was the toilets, the gents out of order and everyone stood in line waiting for the 1 x ladies.
