Verso la metà del XIX secolo, con la costruzione del nuovo paese di Anzio, papa Pio IX affidò all'architetto Gaetano Morichini il compito di disegnare la parrocchiale del borgo. Così, la prima pietra dell'erigenda chiesa venne posta nel 1851, l'edificio, in stile neoclassico, venne portato a termine nel 1856 e consacrato nel 1885, per poi essere completamente restaurato nel 1919.

Towards the middle of the 19th century, with the construction of the new town of Anzio, Pope Pius IX entrusted the architect Gaetano Morichini with the task of designing the parish church of the village. Thus, the first stone of the church was laid in 1851, the building, in neoclassical style, was completed in 1856 and consecrated in 1885, and then completely restored in 1919.

Sullo sfondo (latto opposto al mare) la facciata della bellissima parrocchia dedicata ai Ss Pio e Antonio.
Inoltre ai margini, accoglie elegantemente tavolini di bar e ristoranti.
Da qui si raggiungono le strade più commerciali e in di Anzio.
Inoltre gli scorci che danno sul porto (tra i più antichi d'Italia) ricco di vita e di locali fanno si che questa cittadina diventi un valido motivo per uscire di casa per raggiungerla...
