★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La bellissima chiesa di Santa Lucia è la chiesa parrocchiale di Auna di Sotto, frazione del comune di Renon. Le sue origini risalgono al XIII secolo ed è stata più volte modificata in stile gotico, barocco e neoromanico fino ad assumere il suo aspetto attuale. Già da lontano può essere visto il suo imponente campanile alto ben 66 metri e in generale la chiesa è di imponenti dimensioni. Di fronte alla chiesa si trova il cimitero e al suo fianco una piccola cappella. Varcato l'ingresso dalla facciata principale, ben riconoscibile per la sua copertura, si entra nella chiesa ad un'unica grande navata. Tutte le superfici sono riccamente decorate e ben illuminate naturalmente grazie alle vetrate decorate laterali e all'ampio rosone centrale in facciata. Meraviglioso l'altare principale nel presbiterio coperto da volte con affreschi dell'annunciazione di Maria e con scene del martirio di Santa Lucia ad opera di Andreas Strickner. Uscendo non si può non notare anche l'organo tra i più grandi di tutto l'Alto Adige.
The beautiful church of Santa Lucia is the parish church of Auna di Sotto, part of the municipality of Renon. Its origins date back to the 13th century and it has been modified several times in Gothic, Baroque and Neo-Romanesque style until it assumes its current appearance. Its imposing 66 meter high bell tower can already be seen from afar and in general the church is impressive in size. In front of the church is the cemetery and next to it a small chapel. Crossing the entrance from the main facade, easily recognizable by its roof, you enter the church with a single large nave. All surfaces are richly decorated and naturally well lit thanks to the side decorated windows and the large central rose window on the facade. Wonderful the main altar in the presbytery covered by vaults with frescoes of the Annunciation of Mary and with scenes of the martyrdom of Saint Lucia by Andreas Strickner. Going out, one cannot fail to notice the organ among the largest in all of South Tyrol.
