Giornata fantastica in barca con Emiliano e il suo fidato aiutante Alessandro. Emiliano molto preparato e con una ottima attrezzatura per la pesca. Giornata coronata con la cattura e rilascio di un tonno da oltre 60 kg.

Organizzato giro in barca per l’addio al nubilato di mia sorella. Trovato per caso -ci ha dato il contatto il nostro proprietario di casa a Levanto- si è rivelato una bellissima scoperta! Tour in barca piacevole, arricchito da un ottimo e abbondante aperitivo al tramonto. Emiliano, gentilissimo, ci ha offerto focacce, torte salate, salumi e formaggi e bere a volontà! Ciliegina sulla torta il suo cane Lapo: dolcissimo, affettuoso e giocherellone! Consigliatissimo! Grazie Emiliano per il bel pomeriggio passato insieme!

I planned a wedding in Vernazza and needed a boat carrying about 30 people for a lovely tour. After contacting several boat tour services which refused my request for several reasons, I met Emiliano which promptly found a solution for my clients and delivered an outstanding service. Nothing seemed too big or hard for him and I couldn't thank him enough for his help and kindness! He also provided an aperitif on board that my clients really appreciated. I honestly can not say enough about Pevea Fishing Charters and Emiliano! If I had to summarize: Experience of a Lifetime comes close, but not quite.... If you like to fish, one look at the emerald-green waters surrounding the coastal region of Northwestern Italy will have you drooling. I was lucky enough to happen upon Pevea Charters during my visit to Levanto. I contacted Emiliano via the website, he quickly responded, and happily agreed to take me out in search of Bluefin Tuna and whatever other bounty the Mediterranean cared to offer. I met Emiliano and canine first-mate, Lappo, at a very leisurely 1030am for launch from the Levanto landing (5 mins from the town center). I immediately felt welcomed and right at home, some 3000 miles away from my own port of call. We quickly hopped aboard the beautiful diesel-powered, well-equipped fishing machine, Devil’s Advocate, and were off. If you’re impatient like me, especially when heading out to fish, you need not worry! You will have lines in the water in approximately 5 minutes after departure from the rocky enclave at the northern end of Levanto. The bottom drops quickly, which is no surprise as mountains, not sandy beaches adorn the coast around the area. If you’ve never seen the Cinqueterre Region, breathtaking is a vast understatement. Emiliano’s knowledge and passion for fishing was immediately apparent! It’s always so nice to see the people that do this for a living get excited when heading out on the water. In no time we were seeing action on top of the water (I’m talking “I can still swim to shore” distance?) Mahi and Bonito. We continued out into a very calm Mediterranean, trolling to about 5 miles offshore, encountering schools of more mahi and some younger, juvenile bluefin. Emiliano laid out a tactical spread and we had plenty of action. If you happened to drift away admiring the beautiful backdrop of green mountains and colorful houses, Lappo was sure to alert you of any activity near the boat in between offering you a game of fetch with literally ANYTHING he could find on the boat?(zip ties, rubber bands, the tiniest piece of plastic he somehow discovered in the chum box). About halfway through our journey we turned back towards the mountainous coast in search of the big boys. We set up on a ledge where the depth quickly drops from 30m to 120m. Immediately, we saw some big bluefin on the sonar! There was also familiar and friendly vessel working on bringing one to the boat. We worked the ledge until darkness prevailed and then embarked on a well-deserved booze cruise back to Levanto. Emiliano’s hospitality made me feel as though I was out fishing with a buddy and that’s something special! I truly hope that I will get to return to Levanto and have another experience on the Mediterranean with Pevea Fishing Charters. If you have the opportunity, YOU SHOULD TOO!!!
