I'm giving hotel 5 stars because of price, food, warm friendly staff, comfortable room, clean, great swimming pool, spa and gymnasium. Although I'm not comparing it to the Ritz in London you sometimes have to consider the comparison of being Comfortable like at home and This hotel gave me that.

Decent hotel given the price. However, more of a two star than four star category. Style is from late 80s with almost no modernization, which would be fine, it it weren't for the flaws. The rooms are spacious, but the hearhing is either not working or not able to go above 21 degrees, which is not pleasant for winter. Card systems are also not in good shape, often you cant open the room or the lights go out due to the faulty sensors. The "spa" is a joke for everyone who knows what spa is - the small pool had a temperature of 23-25 degrees - this is swimming temperature, not spa. For spa you would expect at least 33 or 35 degress, but.. italian standards. And the "best" was the breakfast. You are supposed to be in a four star hotel, but there are no juices available?? Even not the cheap ones with 50% juice? Instead they offer you what I know as children drinks, this powder with water that tastes lile chemicals and is yellow... sorry, but we will definetely not return to this hotel. The only positive things were the cheap price, the parking and the strategic location to visit the neighbouring cities.

This place is awesome as a base to explore Umbria. As others suggested it’s also great if the weather is bad because the rooms and facilities are all on the bigger side. It was the best value for money on our Italy trip. The only reason, I didn’t give it 5 stars is that the area around the hotel is an industrial area. The highway on one side and companies on the other. The opposite of what the name suggests.

After my fifth visit at this hotel and some more additional travelling around Italy best Hotels, I still feel the need to write a note to this unique hotel as being one of the few "Triathlete's paradises" in this country: here you can stay in your real-4*-Level room at the first/second/third/fourth floor and get the elevator to a two-lanes regular 25m pool, including starting blocks and wall stopwatch for training. At the other end of the pool the tub widens up to offer a little area of Jacuzzi-Like relax with air flows coming from the floor and at sacral zones. During covid-time the little fitness+spa area has now been upgraded: the Technogym-equipped gym is now bigger and completely separated from the spa which is still not accessible due to covid limitations. Too bad that the hotel is somehow "aging" ... Even if the pool+fitness+spa area has been completely renewed various signs of wear are evident the old side of the hotel, which is the part over the pool ... Anyway the hotel has also a separate "tower" with newer rooms. Rooms acoustic isolation is fair to the next rooms, minimal to the outside traffic noise, which is somewhat "important" on the E45 side ... having to choose a room I suggest to request highest floors on the opposide side of E45: anyway Rooms are typically extra-wide (excluding single rooms) and most have balconies. The buffet breakfast is complete and reasonable in days when the hotel does not host groups, where it's served in a small room at ground floor ... complete and excellent when large groups are hosted when it's served at the first floor beautiful and wide restaurant. Don't miss a visit on Sundays if you are an athlete or "triathlete" stepping by ... as you can find the best prices.
