★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bella pasticceria. Forse il Covid, forse l'orario, forse la giornata festiva... Il personale sembrava un po' stanco. Nulla da eccepire, ma un po' di cordialità avrebbe portato la quinta stella.
 Nice patisserie. Maybe Covid, maybe the timetable, maybe the holiday ... The staff seemed a little tired. Nothing to complain, but a little friendliness would have brought the fifth star.

Ieri ho provato il Lombardino, un dolce semplice ma gustoso realizzato con un impasto che ricorda vagamente quello del pandoro e farcito con panna montata e fragole. Non mi sono piaciute molto le praline di cioccolato perché sapevano di arancia e non mi era stato comunicato dal ragazzo (né tantomeno c'era un cartellino). Tutta la mia comprensione perché il locale era strapieno e stupidamente non ho chiesto io.
Assolutamente da comprare la famosissima torta Vigoni!!
I have been going to this cafe / pastry shop for at least 10 years. I've always enjoyed it. Yesterday I tried Lombardino, a simple but tasty dessert made with a dough that vaguely recalls that of Pandoro and stuffed with whipped cream and strawberries. I didn't like the chocolate pralines very much because they tasted of orange and hadn't been communicated to me by the boy (nor was there a tag). All my understanding because the place was packed and stupidly I didn't ask.
Absolutely to buy the famous Vigoni cake !!

Must try: meringue filled with whipped cream (available only in winter season) and "veneziana", a round croissant with sugar sprinkled on top.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vigoni is an institution! I recommend the "bignè alla crema", moretti, and "meringhe con la panna montata" (i.e. soft shell meringues with whipped cream). Their croissants selection is also excellent in the morning, and they have savory bakery selection for a quick bite at midday.
