Passo della Crocetta

(873 m) is a pass in the Ligurian Apennines that connects the Val Tidone (municipalities of Romagnese and Pecorara) with the Trebbia valley (municipality of Bobbio)). It is located along the Provincial Road 34 of Pecorara, which begins in Nibbiano, detaching from the former State Road 412 of the Val Tidone, goes up the valley of the Tidoncello and passed the town of Pecorara in the Cicogni area through this pass (which borders the municipal boundary) passes into that of Bobbio, to go down after the pass in the locality of Vaccarezza di Bobbio where it joins the former Strada statale 461 of the Passo del Penice. There are two further asphalted accesses to the pass, one from Val Trebbia, (through the municipal road Areglia-Gobbi-Schiavi, located in the municipality of Bobbio) and one from Romagnese (PV) in Val Tidone through the Grazzi-Praticchia road. The pass is located between Mount Mosso (1,008 m) to the north and Pietra Corva (1,078 m) to the south-east. The path that winds through the woods is very characteristic. At the point of the pass a square extends, from which a pedestrian street of a few tens of meters departs, which rises up to the top of the hill, on which there is a votive temple dedicated to the Holy Cross. Every year in June, the population of Cicogni and the surrounding villages meet here to honor the relic of the Cross (transported for the occasion by the parish of Cicogni) and thus bless the surrounding countryside.
