It is not possible that these unruly bells should be heard every half hour on holidays.

...
Ed ancora:
"Nelle esequie particolare importanza riveste l' OMELIA.
1) perchè Padre Enrico per i funerali di mio padre si sia rifiutato di venire a casa, sebbene noi familiari avessimo tanto insistito per una benedizione in casa;
2)perchè abbia confuso il nome del defunto durante la celebrazione, dimostrando disinteresse e superficialità in un momento per noi così delicato;
3) perche' abbia "dimenticato" di dire l'omelia;
4) perchè si pretende, per interposta persona, un'offerta;
Here is an excerpt from pastoral norms for the celebration of the sacraments:
"In the funeral the Church prays that her children be incorporated
with the Baptism to Christ dead and risen, pass with him
from death to life and, duly purified in the soul,
are welcomed with the saints and the elect of heaven, while the
body awaits the blessed hope of the coming of Christ and the
resurrection of the dead (cf. RE n. 1).
Remember everyone, especially the priests, that when
in the funeral liturgy they recommend the dead to God,
they also have the duty to REANIMATE HOPE IN THESE, TO REVIVE THE FAITH IN THE EASTER MYSTERY and
in the resurrection of the dead; do it though with
delicacy and tact, so that, in expressing the
maternal understanding of the Church and in bringing the
comfort of faith, their words are of relief to
Christian who believes, without hurting the man who cries (cf.
RE no. 17).
To the announcement of the death of a faithful, for the celebration
of the funeral, the parish priests should go to the house of the deceased for
comfort family members and agree with them
celebration of the funeral .... "
...
And again:
"In the funeral the HOMILY is of particular importance.
This must necessarily be short in respect
the painful situation of the relatives of the deceased. Yes
he will avoid transforming the homily into a funeral eulogy. It
it is above all an announcement of the paschal mystery and of the
Christian hope. It is not allowed to replace the homily
with thoughts or writings of the deceased ... "
In light of the legislation in force and on the basis of Christian charity that a parish priest should bestow, I ask myself:
1) why Father Enrico refused to come home for my father's funeral, although we family members had insisted so much on a blessing at home;
2) why he confused the name of the deceased during the celebration, showing disinterest and superficiality in a moment so delicate for us;
3) why he "forgot" to say the homily;
4) because an offer is requested through a third party;
5) because a sacrament is celebrated letting indifference and boredom shine through.
A completely negative message was sent to me and my children .... I hope it was, also for our parish priest, a bad day ...... this would leave hope to our community and would rehabilitate the ecclesiastical figure ....

Parish remained backward, still maintained with owner management, there is no space for young priests with a new mentality.

I spent my youth in the parish together with other boys led at the time by the parish priest Father Benedetto and the vice parish priest Don Antonio Precchia. We were a group of Catholic action and their teachings served us. We still feel united today as we were then. I don't know now if the parish priest Father Enrico who was part of the party was able to do the same with the young people of the parish.
