Complici sono i parroci che riescono a coinvolgere tutti ,anche i più giovani.
Bellissimi i cori moderni durante le funzioni religiose .
La statua di San Ciro appena restaurata è stupenda .
Sembra una persona vera e ben curata nei minimi dettagli, addirittura ha le vene sulle mani.
Anche le altre statue sono bellissime .
La Madonna Bambina con i suoi grandi occhi castani trasmette una dolcezza infinita.
Gli affreschi sono favolosi .
Alcuni sono in fase di restauro e necessitano di cure e di ingenti spese .
A mio parere posso dire che questo Santuario è uno dei più belli della Campania e vale davvero la pena di essere visitato .???

The newly restored statue of St. Cyrus is beautiful.
It looks like a real person and well cared for in every detail, even has veins on the hands.
The other statues are also beautiful.
Our Lady girl with her big brown eyes transmits an infinite sweetness.
The frescoes are fabulous.
Some are being restored and in need of care and high costs.
In my opinion I can say that this Sanctuary is one of the most beautiful in Campania and is really worth a visit. "

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Splendido Santuario in stile barocco. Tutti la conoscono come la "chiesa di San Ciro" ma, in realtà, è "Santa Maria della Natività E san Ciro"
La prima chiesa fu costruita al centro del mercato ma fu distrutta dalla tremenda eruzione del 1631.
Tuttavia, i porticesi non si arresero e la ricostruirono dove sorge tuttora.
Fu dedicata alla Natività della Vergine Maria per indicarne la rinascita "un nuovo inizio" dopo la devastazione.
Stupendo è il grande quadro che si trova dietro l'altare, dipindo da Luca Giordano e che rappresenta, appunto, la natività di Maria.
Solamente nel 1763 i porticesi, per voto, decisero di fare di San Ciro il loro Santo Patrono dopo una tremenda carestia. Nel 1776 ebbero il permesso e, così, la chiesa venne aperta al culto "anche" del Santo.
Bellissime sono le funzioni che vengono celebrate nel giorno della loro ricorrenza.
Questa è quella della Natività della Vergine Maria che si celebra l'8 settembre.
A fine messa abbiamo ricevuto i confetti per la Sua nascita.
Dal 2017 vi è la statua e la venerazione di Santa Maria dell'Ascolto.
Splendid Baroque style sanctuary. Everyone knows it as the "church of San Ciro" but, in reality, it is "Santa Maria della Natività And San Ciro"
The first church was built in the center of the market but was destroyed by the terrible eruption of 1631.
However, the arcades did not give up and rebuilt it where it still stands today.
It was dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary to indicate its rebirth "a new beginning" after the devastation.
The large picture behind the altar, painted by Luca Giordano and which represents the nativity of Mary, is wonderful.
Only in 1763 the Porticesi, by vote, decided to make San Ciro their patron saint after a terrible famine. In 1776 they received permission and, thus, the church was opened to the "also" worship of the Saint.
The functions that are celebrated on the day of their anniversary are beautiful.
This is that of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary which is celebrated on 8 September.
At the end of the mass we received the confetti for His birth.
Since 2017 there is the statue and the veneration of Santa Maria dell'Ascolto.
