★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Grandiosa Arcipretale neo-romanica tutta in pietra, pianta a tre spaziosissime navate. Eretta in posizione decentrata rispetto al luogo dove, nel centro antico di questa amenissima Cittadina alle porte di Belluno, sorgeva la Pieve Matrice antica, che se in sé stessa era ampia, il cresciuto e sempre crescente numero dei parrocchiani rendeva del tutto insufficiente. Quella storica Arcipretale venne demolita, ma se ne conservò, come ben si nota, l'alto Campanile barocco, con cupolino a bulbo così tipico dei Campanili delle montagne tra l'alto Veneto e la Regione Germanica. Se nell'edificare la attuale e ben più vasta Chiesa Arcipretale della SS. Annunciazione della Beata Vergine Maria si risparmio' dalla demolizione della Chiesa Vecchia l'imponente Campanile, è perché questo funzionava e continua a funzionare perfettamente, svolgendo con onore il secolare suo Sacro Ufficio. La Arcipretale di Sedico è una delle Chiese più Grandi e Più Belle della Diocesi di Belluno-Feltre. All'Arciprete e al Consiglio Pastorale della Parrocchia Arcipretale di Sedico va il mio invito a chiedere a Mons. Vescovo Renato Marangoni di concedere al Gran Tempio il Titolo Insigne di DUOMO. Un titolo che questo affascinante capolavoro neo-medioevale merita TUTTO.
Grandiose neo-Romanesque archpriest entirely in stone, with three very spacious naves. Erected in a decentralized position with respect to the place where, in the ancient center of this pleasant town on the outskirts of Belluno, stood the ancient Pieve Matrice, which if in itself was large, the increased and ever-increasing number of parishioners made it completely insufficient. The historic Archpriest was demolished, but the tall Baroque bell tower was preserved, as is well known, with a bulb dome so typical of the bell towers of the mountains between the upper Veneto and the Germanic Region. If in building the current and much larger Archpriest Church of the SS. Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary spared the imposing bell tower from the demolition of the Old Church, it is because it worked and continues to function perfectly, carrying out its centuries-old Sacred Office with honor. The Archpriest of Sedico is one of the largest and most beautiful churches in the Diocese of Belluno-Feltre. My invitation goes to the Archpriest and the Pastoral Council of the Archpriest Parish of Sedico to ask Bishop Renato Marangoni to grant the Grand Temple the Insigne title of DUOMO. A title that this fascinating neo-medieval masterpiece deserves EVERYTHING.
