F	Francesco Catalfamo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa in pietra, in stile rinascimentale con lesene in mattoni e tre porte ed un rosone in pietra bianca, purtroppo era chiusa e non ho potuto visitare l'interno. Secondo i documenti antichi, esisteva almeno dal 1210, successivamente venne rifatta nel 1645 e poi molto rimaneggiata nel periodo dal 1925 al 1932. Fu pesante danneggiata dal terremoto del 1976 e poi accuratamente ripristinata. È posta sulla cima del colle di Moruzzo, con una splendida vista sulla pianura friulana. Stone church, in Renaissance style with brick pilasters and three doors and a white stone rose window, unfortunately it was closed and I could not visit the inside. According to ancient documents, it existed at least since 1210, was later rebuilt in 1645 and then heavily remodeled in the period from 1925 to 1932. It was heavily damaged by the 1976 earthquake and then carefully restored. It is located on the top of the Moruzzo hill, with a splendid view over the Friulian plain.

È una basilica a tre navate separate dalla navata centrale da archi a tutto sesto. Bellissimo tabernacolo ed il dipinto sul retro. Panorama mozzafiato. It is a basilica with three naves separated from the central nave by round arches. Beautiful tabernacle and the painting on the back. Breathtaking panorama. L	Luciana D'Avanzo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Chiesa di San Tomaso Apostolo di Moruzzo risale almeno al 1100 e probabilmente nasce come oratorio del castello, ma il primo documento che dimostri l’esistenza del luogo di culto è del 1210; il primo pievano, il cui nome sia noto, è Tomaso di Venezia, nominato dal Patriarca di Aquileia nel 1279. La Pieve compare, con tale denominazione, solo in un elenco del 1247. L’edificio attuale è il risultato dei lavori di ristrutturazione di quello eretto, nella seconda metà del XVII secolo, sulle fondamenta della chiesa romanica originaria, allora fatiscente. Il campanile attuale è della fine del 1800, ma della sua esistenza si ha notizie dal 1302 e da quell’epoca più volte è stato rimaneggiato. All’interno, l’Altare Maggiore è dedicato al titolare della chiesa; fu commissionato nel 1674 e la pala raffigura l’apparizione di Cristo all’incredulo Tomaso e agli altri apostoli. San Tommaso (detto Didimo, “gemello”) fu uno dei dodici apostoli di Gesù; fu presente alla resurrezione di Lazzaro (convinse gli altri, titubanti,a seguire Gesù), all’Ultima Cena, al celebre episodio della sua incredulità di fronte al Cristo risorto e tornato tra i suoi apostoli, all’apparizione di Gesù sul lago di Tiberiade e all’Ascensione del Signore e, secondo la tradizione, a quella della Vergine. The Church of San Tomaso Apostolo di Moruzzo dates back to at least 1100 and probably was born as an oratory of the castle, but the first document proving the existence of the place of worship dates back to 1210; the first parish priest, whose name is known, is Tomaso di Venezia, appointed by the Patriarch of Aquileia in 1279. The parish appears, with this denomination, only in a list of 1247. The current building is the result of the works by restructuring of the one erected, in the second half of the seventeenth century, on the foundations of the original Romanesque church, then dilapidated. The bell tower current dates back to the late 1800s, but we have news of its existence from 1302 and from that time it has been remodeled several times. Inside, the High Altar is dedicated to the owner of the church; it was commissioned in 1674 and the altarpiece depicts the apparition of Christ to the incredulous Thomas and the other apostles. St. Thomas (called Didymus, "twin") was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus; was present at the resurrection of Lazarus (he convinced the others, hesitant, to follow Jesus), at the Last Supper, at the famous episode of his incredulity in front of the risen Christ and returned among his apostles, at the apparition of Jesus on the Lake of Tiberias and at the Ascension of the Lord and, according to tradition, that of the Virgin.
