Der ursprüngliche Kernbau stammt aus dem 13. Jahrhundert.
Ein Neubau wurde um 1520 durchgeführt.
Seit 1733 Marienwallfahrtsort.
Eine Besonderheit sind die zwei Kirchtürme, der zweite wurde 1880 im Neugotischen Stil dazu gebaut. Der Ältere hatte Probleme beim läuten der Glocken (Schwingungen, Einsturzgefahr).
In Kaltern, in the St. Nikolaus fraction, there is also the St. Nicholas Church.
The original core structure dates from the 13th century.
A new building was carried out around 1520.
Marian pilgrimage site since 1733.
A special feature are the two church towers, the second was built in 1880 in neo-Gothic style. The older one had problems ringing the bells (vibrations, risk of collapse).
