★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il santuario della Madonna dell'acqua è un edificio a croce greca costruito su progetto dell'architetto Jacopo Maruscelli (1613-1619). L'esterno è rivestito in mattoni a faccia vista con un portale d'ingresso in pietra serena. Il campanile in mattoni a pianta quadrata (1642) è sormontato da una cupola. All'interno, sull'altare maggiore, è collocato un affresco anonimo del 500 che raffigura la Madonna in trono con il Bambino
The sanctuary of the Madonna of the water is a Greek cross building built on a project by the architect Jacopo Maruscelli (1613-1619). The exterior is clad in exposed brick with an entrance portal in pietra serena. The square brick bell tower (1642) is surmounted by a dome. Inside, on the main altar, there is an anonymous fresco from the 16th century depicting the Madonna enthroned with the Child

1- per molti anni, mentre il Santuario era occupato da un prete sui generis, la casa adiacente alla Chiesa era abitata da una sedicente medium, ovviamente sempre in conflitto con la curia.
2- il prete che per ultimo ha occupato il posto di parroco, Don Mario Dini, ora tra i pascoli celesti; come già detto sopra era insolito per i suoi parrocchiani.
Ma per chi era un ragazzino come me, era solito passarci le giornate; poiché il suo ufficio era un immenso computer, dai primi Commodore sino all IBM,
Inoltre il suo passato era un'avventura che non annoiava mai!.
Per terminare la mia recensione, vi faccio sapere che da dietro il Santuario parte la pista ciclabile di Cascina, punto di arrivo e partenza per ogni luogo da me proposto. Bye bye...
Two goodies to attract your attention:
1- for many years, while the Sanctuary was occupied by a sui generis priest, the house adjacent to the Church was inhabited by a self-styled medium, obviously always in conflict with the curia.
2- the priest who last occupied the post of parish priest, Don Mario Dini, now among the heavenly pastures; as mentioned above it was unusual for his parishioners.
But for someone who was a kid like me, he used to spend his days there; since his office was a huge computer, from the first Commodore to IBM,
Furthermore, his past was an adventure that was never boring !.
To end my review, I would like to inform you that the Cascina cycle path starts from behind the Sanctuary, the point of arrival and departure for each place I propose. Bye bye ...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa si trova in via tosco Romagnola, tra la località di cascina e quella di fornacette venne costruita agli inizi del mille seicento, fuori troviamo un ampio parcheggio, al interno troviamo raffigurazioni di santi e un bellissimo altare.
