★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fino alla metà di agosto del 2017 la chiesa rimarrà chiusa per realizzare importanti lavori di restauro alle decorazioni interne e il rifacimento degli impianti tecnici.
In attesa, è possibile ammirare solo la parte esterna del poderoso edificio ed in particolare la facciata in stile eclettico disegnata dal Miglioranza e realizzata a partire dal 1859.
Il resto della chiesa fu costruito negli anni dal 1763 al 1827 su complesso progetto dello Schiavi e andò a sostituire completamente la vecchia parrocchiale del 1400, una chiesa pur imponente e ricca di opere d'arte come gli affreschi del coro realizzati dalla scuola del Tiziano su cartoni dello stesso maestro, affreschi ovviamente andati persi con l'edificio.
Della vecchia chiesa rimane solo la notevole torre campanaria che risale al 1500.

The rest of the church was built in the years from 1763 to 1827 on a complex project by Schiavi and went to completely replace the old parish church of the 1400s, a church although impressive and rich in works of art such as the frescoes of the choir made by the Titian school on cartoons by the same master, frescoes obviously lost in the building.
Of the old church only the remarkable bell tower which dates back to 1500 remains.
