Gli interni della casa sono visitabili con un piccolo contributo pagamento che permette contemporaneamente di poter visitare anche il museo archeologico che si trova nella piazza centrale ove si erige impetuosa un statua del Vecelio stesso. Two houses from the center of Pieve di Cadore is the house where Tiziano Vecelio was born and raised, known as Tiziano, an excellent painter of the Venetian school of the '500. The interiors of the house can be visited with a small payment which allows at the same time to be able to visit the archaeological museum which is located in the central square where a statue of Vecelio himself is impetuously erected.

La casa va apprezzata per il fatto stesso di essere giunta intatta fino ai giorni giostri con tutti i suoi fragili particolari in legno. Per la verità, nel 1700 le fu costruito un avancorpo in muratura fortunatamente demolito negli anni '30 quando l'edificio divenne proprietà della Magnifica Comunità del Cadore. Nell'estate del 2017 il locale a piano terra ha eccezionalmente ospitato la pala d'altare chiamata "Madonna con il Bambino tra i santi Tiziano, Andrea ed un accolito" normalmente esposta nella chiesa centrale del borgo. Un'occasione fortunata per ammirarla molto da vicino ed apprenderne la lunga e travagliata storia. The construction dates back to the 1400s and despite being the home of a wealthy Cadore family, it does not retain any furnishings or objects of particular value in the five rooms on the first floor. The house should be appreciated for the fact that it has reached the jousting days intact with all its fragile wooden details. In truth, in 1700 a masonry forepart was built which was fortunately demolished in the 1930s when the building became the property of the Magnifica Comunità del Cadore. In the summer of 2017, the ground floor room exceptionally housed the altarpiece called "Madonna and Child with Saints Titian, Andrew and an Acolyte" normally exhibited in the central church of the village. A lucky opportunity to admire it very closely and learn its long and troubled history.

La signora della biglietteria ci ha gentilmente illustrato e spiegato la storia della casa del pittore Tiziano. Interessante il fogher della cucina e l'albero genealogico della famiglia Vecellio che contempla ben otto pittori. Consigliato. The house is small, but quite interesting. Un grazie speciale all'impiegato del Comune che oltre a permetterci la visita alla casa, ci ha guidato anche alla visita delle sale del palazzo comunale: due pregevoli opere della scuola del Tiziano in sala consiliare e due eccezionali salette con soffitti in legno da favola. For being a house with more than 5 centuries of history it is very well kept: to be reviewed in the summer, home to seasonal exhibitions in the rooms on the ground floor. A special thanks to the employee of the Municipality who, in addition to allowing us to visit the house, also guided us to visit the halls of the town hall: two valuable works by the school of Titian in the council chamber and two exceptional rooms with fabulous wooden ceilings.

La visita è didattica, non si tratta di una pinacoteca o di un museo pittorico, ma di un edificio dal grande valore storico. L'ingresso costa 6 euro. M	Mariarosa Genovese on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vista solo dal di fuori in quanto d'inverno é chiusa, la casa natale del grande pittore Tiziano Veccelio ha visto numerosi passaggi di mano fino a giungere di proprietà del comune di Pieve, ovviamente nel corso dei secoli ha subìto varie modifiche e restaurazioni per mantenerla viva nel ricordo. Sìta nel centro del paese, é la classica casa di montagna a due piani, l'interno sicuramente darà luce alla sua storia, mi riserverò di visitarla in altro periodo. Seen only from the outside as it is closed in winter, the birthplace of the great painter Tiziano Veccelio has seen numerous changes of hands until it is owned by the municipality of Pieve, obviously over the centuries it has undergone various modifications and restorations to keep it alive in memory. Yesta in the center of the town, it is the classic two-storey mountain house, the interior will certainly give light to its history, I will reserve the right to visit it in another period.
