Siamo sempre i soliti.
I knew that the parking was free, so I communicated it to the scammer who approached him to ask for the money: he promptly lied to me saying that it was a private parking (in a street eh) managed by a cooperative (evidently of criminals). The residents expressly told me that the police know everything so "it doesn't do anything to the cars", but the absurd thing is to get to this reasoning, not what they should hunt / fine / arrest him. We are always the usual.

If you want to see the mafia in action, come to this parking lot. Free parking where mobsters racketeer you to pay a fee!

I recommend you visit it at sunset. Very impressive and with the guide it's even better ...

If you like to be extorted this is your parking lot. Who said the mafia had disappeared? A group of organized men decides that for parking on public roads you must pay a fee. (€ 4 for 2 hours) and if you don't agree they "invite" you to leave the place. When doubting its veracity, we asked at the reception of the archaeological park if this "parking lot" was official and their answer was that "it could be", which made us think that they are also part of the business, so we decided to leave our money to another place in town.

Beware of illegal parking attendants! They are generally two, well organized, equipped with clothing appropriate to the trade, equipped with a walkie-talkie, equipped with a tag and receipt pad with name and P.I. non-existent. If you have to pay for a stop, do it through the automatic ticket machine.

Fate attenzione!
Abusive parkers, they lure you along the road to let you park where they decide (complete with a jacket logged in to make you believe you are officially connected with the park). They recommend the daily ticket (€ 10) to leave the car on a public road, which would be totally free and obviously not guarded! Be careful!
