★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sehr verschlafenes Örtchen. Wir kamen zur Siesta (eigentlich ja nur in Spanien zwischen 12 und 15 Uhr) jedoch hatten zwei Lokale offen. Eine Gelateria und eine Pizzaria. Die Anbindung ist sehr schlecht, da die Bahnen sehr unregelmäßig und die Busse eigentlich gar nicht fahren. Ich empfehle immer ein Taxi in dieser Gegend.
Very sleepy place. We came to the siesta (actually only in Spain between 12 and 3 p.m.) but two restaurants were open. A gelateria and pizzaria. The connection is very bad because the trains are very irregular and the buses do not actually run. I always recommend a taxi in this area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Het station van Parghelia ligt niet ver van het centrum van Parghelia af. De treinen naar Lamezia Terme en Rosarno stoppen een aantal keer per dag op het station. Aan de voorkant is een klein parkeerterrein waar u mensen af kunt zetten of op kunt halen. Het station en de trein zijn niet rolstoelvriendelijk. Vanaf het station heeft u mooi zicht op de zee en de heuvels. Reizen per trein is niet duur en de treinen rijden hier op tijd. Er is geen ticketmachine op het station. Daarvoor moet u bij de tabakszaak zijn.
Parghelia station is not far from the center of Parghelia. Trains to Lamezia Terme and Rosarno stop at the station several times a day. At the front is a small parking lot where you can drop off or pick up people. The station and the train are not wheelchair friendly. From the station you have a beautiful view of the sea and the hills. Traveling by train is not expensive and the trains run here on time. There is no ticket machine at the station. For this you have to be at the tobacconist.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Een heerlijk dorpje om doorheen te slenteren. Overdag is er wat leven met het bevoorraden van de winkels en hier en daar zijn wat verbouwingen.
's Avonds is er veel gezelligheid. Gezellige (en iets minder gezellige) restaurantjes en gelateria's. Oudere mensen ouderwets voor hun voordeur genieten van de warme avond.
A lovely village to stroll through. During the day there is some life with stocking the shops and here and there some renovations.
In the evening there is a lot of fun. Cozy (and slightly less cozy) restaurants and gelaterias. Older people fashioned outside their front door enjoying the warm evening.
