Presso la cattedrale si conserva un'ara funeraria romana in marmo decorata con due aquile ad ali dispiegate, con ghirlande. Numerosi reperti di vario genere, sono sistemati in un museo allestito in un edificio all'interno dell'area. Vi consiglio di visitare l'area archeologica ! Ogni volta è un'emozione diversa: stupore, ammirazione, un profondo senso di tristezza e anche un po' di angoscia. Angoscia perché comunque si cammina tra le rovine di una città distrutta da un terremoto che è ancora troppo vicino e sentito da poter essere dimenticato. Stupore per quello che è stato trovato oltre le macerie "moderne": substrati di costruzioni che tornano indietro fino all'epoca romana, tornati alla luce grazie ad un evento tragico. Vale la pena visitarlo, sia per il valore storico sia per il lavoro fantastico che la proloco sta facendo. Un sentito ringraziamento ad Alessandro, guida che ci ha accompagnato quest'anno. Competente, informato e disponibilissimo, ha accompagnato me e la mia amica in una calda e torrida giornata di sole, nonostante fossimo solo in 2. It is worth a visit, both for the historical value and for the fantastic work the proloco is doing. A heartfelt thanks to Alessandro, the guide who accompanied us this year. Competent, informed and extremely helpful, he accompanied me and my friend on a hot and torrid sunny day, even though there were only 2 of us. I recommend consulting the dedicated Facebook page and booking visits. The park is normally closed and opens by reservation unless there are scheduled events.

Inoltre, dal cocuzzolo si può ammirare un panorama mozzafiato con vista sul lago di Conza. Assolutamente da visitare. G	Giancarlo Criscuolo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interessantissima visita alla antica cittadina di Conza che rasa al suolo dal terremoto del 23 novembre 1980 e ricostruita a valle ha rilevato al di sotto del vecchio centro abitato una stratificazione millenaria dai Sanniti, ai Romani, al paese medioevale. Gentilissimi e preparati i ragazzi della Pro Loco che gestiscono le visite. Incredibile vedere ciò che resta del paese con le case ancora parzialmente in piedi ed abbandonate. Questa una città fantasma.
