Un tempo era un bellissimo parchetto dove si andava per una passeggiata o per rilassarsi un po'. Il luogo era anche conosciuto come Piazza delle palme, ma ora le palme sono tutte morte a causa del famigerato "punteruolo" che indisturbato si è mangiato tutto e non solo le palme di Piazza Roma, ma quelle di tutta Sabaudia senza che nessuno abbia saputo, o meglio voluto, combatterlo. Oggi è la desolazione più completa, tutto in abbandono. C' erano dei lampioni, oggi ci sono solo i pali in cemento e la sera è tutto al buio con tutto quello che ne consegue. Che desolazione, che vergogna!

Once it was a beautiful little park where you went for a walk or to relax a little. The place was also known as Piazza delle Palme, but now the palms are all dead because of the notorious "weevil" that undisturbed everything and not only the palms of Piazza Roma, but those of the whole of Sabaudia without anyone knowing, or rather wanted to fight it. Today it is the most complete desolation, all abandoned. There were lamp posts, today there are only concrete posts and in the evening everything is in the dark with everything that goes with it. What desolation, what a shame!
