P	Pinuccio Sibella on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fatto erigere nel 1355 da Bernabò Visconti, fu adibito come residenza di caccia e successivamente conquistato dai veneziani. Alla struttura originaria mancano due torri, demolite negli anni successivi dai nuovi proprietari. Tuttavia è ancora ben conservato e presenta numerosi affreschi dove spicca le stemma del biscione visconteo. Sicuramente da visitare al costo di 5 euro. Una menzione particolare alla guida Ivana preparata e sciolta nell'esposizione. Built in 1355 by Bernabò Visconti, it was used as a hunting lodge and subsequently conquered by the Venetians. The original structure is missing two towers, demolished in the following years by the new owners. However it is still well preserved and has numerous frescoes where the coat of arms of the Visconti snake stands out. Definitely to visit at a cost of 5 euros. A special mention to the Ivana guide prepared and dissolved in the exhibition.

A	Ambrogio Brenna on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dopo un salto a Gradella per una visita al borgo immerso nella tranquilla campagna della zona al confine tra le province di Bergamo e Cremona ed il pranzo all'Osteria degli Amici, visita guidata al Castello visconteo di Pandino. Accompagnati da una guida molto preparata, molto attenta alla tipologia dei visitatori e capace di coinvolgere grandi ed alcuni bambini, abbiamo ammirato il castello nella sua essenzialità costruttiva e nella bellezza degli affreschi ben conservati che adornano le pareti dei portici, delle logge e delle stanze. Interessante anche la mostra dei lavori di Marius e la ricostruzione di armi dell'epoca. After a trip to Gradella for a visit to the village nestled in the peaceful countryside of the area on the border between the provinces of Bergamo and Cremona and lunch at the Osteria degli Amici, guided tour of the Visconti Castle of Pandino. Accompanied by a very prepared guide, very attentive to the type of visitors and able to involve adults and some children, we admired the castle in its constructive essentiality and in the beauty of the well-preserved frescoes that adorn the walls of the arcades, loggias and rooms. Also interesting is the exhibition of Marius's works and the reconstruction of weapons of the time.
f	filippo corrado on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il castello, fatto erigere dal signore di Milano Bernabò Visconti e dalla moglie Beatrice Regina Della Scala, intorno al 1355-1370 come residenza di campagna per la caccia, grande passione di Bernabò. La costruzione ha la tipica forma dei castelli di pianura dell'epoca; pianta quadrata con quattro torri angolari, cortile interno con porticato scandito da archi acuti e loggiato superiore. All'esterno sono visibili le numerose finestre, monofore al piano terra, in origine destinato alla servitù, bifore al piano superiore, riservato ai nobili. Il lato est del piano inferiore era originariamente aperto come una sorta di secondo porticato ed era adibito a salone per i banchetti estivi (attualmente, corsi e ricorsi storici, è utilizzata dalla mensa della scuola agraria). Il castello al momento della realizzazione venne completamente affrescato, persino nella zona delle stalle, ora utilizzate come biblioteca comunale. La decorazione del castello era composta da svariate forme geometriche, tarsie a imitazione del marmo e da alcune figure umane, variando da vano a vano. Nelle forme geometriche vennero rappresentati gli stemmi araldici dei Visconti e dei Della Scala. Alla morte di Beatrice Regina Della Scala, Bernabò sposò una Savoia e in suo onore fece ridipingere gli stemmi scaligeri con quelli della casata Savoia. Passato agli Sforza e in seguito ad altre nobili famiglie, è attualmente di proprietà del Comune. The castle, built by the lord of Milan Bernabò Visconti and his wife Beatrice Regina Della Scala, around 1355-1370 as a country residence for hunting, Bernabò's great passion. The building has the typical shape of the lowland castles of the time; square plan with four corner towers, internal courtyard with portico marked by pointed arches and upper loggia. Outside the numerous windows are visible, single lancet windows on the ground floor, originally intended for servants, mullioned windows on the upper floor, reserved for the nobles. The east side of the lower floor was originally open as a sort of second portico and was used as a hall for summer banquets (currently, historical courses and resorts, it is used by the canteen of the agricultural school). The castle at the time of construction was completely frescoed, even in the area of the stables, now used as a municipal library. The decoration of the castle was composed of various geometric shapes, inlays in imitation of marble and some human figures, varying from room to room. The heraldic coats of arms of the Visconti and Della Scala were represented in the geometric shapes. On the death of Beatrice Regina Della Scala, Bernabò married a Savoy and in her honor he had the Scaligeri coats of arms repainted with those of the Savoy family. Passed to the Sforza and later to other noble families, it is currently owned by the Municipality.
C	Chiara Alborghetti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Castello imponente con due ingressi e un'ampia corte interna coperta di motivi geometrici e araldiche viscontee. Lo consiglierei a chi ama l'architettura perché il maniero ha un senso prospettico unico. ?? Il dettaglio più singolare sono le capriate in legno nel sottotetto del loggiato al secondo piano. Io purtroppo ci sono stata in settimana accontentandomi di vedere la corte e alcune sale affrescate a piano terra, attraverso i vetri. Ringrazio la signora del comune che mi ha dato una brochure. Se potete visitatelo sabato o domenica e fate un giro nel centro storico. Da vedere nelle vicinanze: Gradella CR alla ricerca del drago Tarantasio. ??? I would recommend it to those who love architecture because the manor has a unique sense of perspective. ?? The most unique detail are the wooden trusses in the attic of the loggia on the second floor. Unfortunately, I was there during the week, contenting myself with seeing the courtyard and some frescoed rooms on the ground floor, through the glass. I thank the lady from the municipality who gave me a brochure. If you can visit it on Saturday or Sunday and take a tour of the historic center. Di forma quadrata con quattro torri angolari, cortile interno e con un bel porticato. Attualmente il castello è di proprietà del Comune e al sabato e alla domenica si svolgono le visite guidate. The castle was built between 1355 and 1370 by the lord of Milan Barnabò Visconti as a country residence for his great passion for hunting. Square-shaped with four corner towers, an internal courtyard and a beautiful portico. Currently the castle is owned by the Municipality and guided tours take place on Saturdays and Sundays.

M	Maurizio Franzini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you have seen the movie "Call me by your name", you shouldn't miss a visit to the Castle in Pandino, and walk around the monument dedicated to the casualties of WWII. The quiet and clean archtecture convey a sense of peace, yet they seem to hint at the upcoming emotional tumult you can witness in the movie. Especially suggestive when seen on a winter weeknight.
