Very large place, hotel located in an old building from the 1600s. Very large rooms, some are practically apartments, some with frescoes worthy of a museum, in fact the building is part of the widespread museum of the high mugello. Managed by the descendant of the Torriani family, builder and owner of the building for 4 centuries now, a very kind and always available person.

Palazzo Torriani is the absolute best!! We traveled from Florence to Bologna and stayed a night there. The entire place is majestic and the food is superb. Torriani spoiled us and we had the best meringue ever. The owner and her daughter are the sweetest peopleβ€” we even got to bring home a jar of homemade marmalade! Cannot recommend enough! A must-visit!

Only superlatives could be used to describe the palace, the owners, the feeling of true Tuscany vibrating through centuries - a perfect stay. Dusan

Amazing in every way! This is an impeccably restored 15th century mansion, still owned by the same family for over 500 years, and now converted to a B&B. Anna Maria and her daughter Maria Emilia were incredible hosts. Anna Maria and her staff make all their own food, including a wide selection of jams and pastries. I took one jar of jam home and have devoured the plum and ginger jam with yogurt over the past week. The rooms are gorgeous -- very large. I felt like I was at Downton Abbey. Our hosts treated us to an amazing cooking class right there in their private kitchen. We learned how to make pasta and red sauce from scratch, plus Taramisu. It was so easy. The town of Marradi is small, but packed with charm and character. We took a long walk along the river, and then visited all of the shops in town. This is an authentic Italian village. No tourists. We stayed for three days, but I could have stayed a week. The train comes straight to Marradi, as it was an historical stop-over spot for those traveling from Rome to Venice. Nearby is the town of Brisighella, where we climbed a castle overlooking the countryside. So magical.

One of the most magnificent facilities I have ever stayed in. This 500 year old Palace is surrounded by beautiful hills and is only a 7 minute walk from the train station in Marradi, Italy. A quick 1 hour 10 minute train ride has you in Bologna or Florence. The host, and owner, greets upon arrival after walking through beautiful old wooden doors. Once inside you are transported to another century of elegance.

Staying at Palazzo Torriani was the highlight of our family trip to Italy. It is more than a place to stay, it is an unforgettable experience. The owners are so gracious and made us feel like royalty. The food was homemade daily and absolutely delicious. Take a cooking class! The rooms were clean and looked like a scene out of a royal movie! Frescoes painted on high ceilings, family heirlooms around every corner, claw foot bathtubs and beautifully hand tiled floors. The town is an undiscovered gem by tourists. Everyone was friendly. There were beautiful views and many day trips accessible by local train, the station within walking distance of the Palazzo. We enjoyed a hike nearby in Brisighella and took day trips to the winery, Zebina and lavender farm, Monte Spada. The gardens at the Palazzo are a perfect getaway after a busy travel day. Overall an unforgettable experience and we will absolutely go back!

We had the most heartwarming stay at Torriani. The lady of the house is just so attentive and kind. The rooms are big, the halls are majestic. Both breakfast and dinner at the hotel are absolutely amazing! We hope to be back one day...
