★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mi trovavo lì di passaggio da ritorno dal duomo per andare verso la metro di catania mentre mi sono imbattuto in questo palazzo, ormai proprietà Unict, sede del dipartimento di scienze politiche ( malgrado la targa vecchia reciti facoltà). Trovo molto affascinante il cortile.
I was there on the way back from the cathedral to go to the Catania metro while I came across this building, now Unict property, home of the department of political science (despite the old plaque recites faculty). I find the courtyard very charming.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Agli inizi del 1803, Vincenzo Guttadauro, Barone di Pedagaggi, approvò il progetto dell’ingegner Salvatore Zahra per la costruzione del suo palazzo; i lavori di completamento vennero portati a termine dall’ingegner Mario Musumeci e la costruzione venne ultimata nel 1809.
At the beginning of 1803, Vincenzo Guttadauro, Baron of Pedagaggi, approved the project of engineer Salvatore Zahra for the construction of his palace; the completion works were completed by the engineer Mario Musumeci and the construction was completed in 1809.
