Un luogo che vale sicuramente la pena di visitare e magari con l'occasione ascoltare la santa messa. E dopo magari andare a pranzo in uno dei diversi e caratteristici ristoranti del posto. La chiesa è piccola ma, all'interno si intravede il percorso degli anni che ha vissuto. I dipinti dimostrano come il loro santo patrono S. Lorenzo Martire è sentito a S. Oreste tra i fedeli. R	Rocco Iacovino on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Parrocchiale è dedicata a San Lorenzo Martire, ed è costruita nel 1568 su disegno del Vignola sul luogo ove sorgeva una piccola chiesa romanica di -cui si conserva ancora la torre campanaria. La Chiesa con navata centrale e cappelle laterali è stata ingrandita nel 1745 con lo sfondamento dell'abside che conservava affrescata l'ultima cena del pittore olandese Sprangler. L'ampliamento fa assumere un chiaro orientamento barocco e nella nuova abside viene ospitata la pala d'altare del pittore falere Ceccherini. Le cappelle laterali conservano paliotti d'altare di notevole fattura e tele, come quella della Madonna del Rosario di grande interesse artistico. Di Grande rilievo è il pulpito cinquecentesco ed il monumentale organo Frescobaldiano del 1638 costruito con il contributo del Card. Barberini,la famiglia Caccia ed il Comune di S.Oreste. I due importanti elementi sono stati di recente restaurati. The parish church is dedicated to San Lorenzo Martire, and was built in 1568 to a design by Vignola on the site of a small Romanesque church which still preserves the bell tower. The church with a central nave and side chapels was enlarged in 1745 with the breaking of the apse that preserved the last supper of the Dutch painter Sprangler with frescoes. The enlargement gives a clear Baroque orientation and in the new apse the altarpiece of the painter Ceccherini is housed. The side chapels preserve altar frontals of considerable workmanship and paintings, such as that of the Madonna of the Rosary of great artistic interest. Of great importance is the sixteenth-century pulpit and the monumental Frescobaldian organ of 1638 built with the contribution of Card. Barberini, the Caccia family and the Municipality of S.Oreste. The two important elements have recently been restored.
