★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Palazzo Impellizzeri di San Giacomo ( o più semplicemente Palazzo impellizzeri ) è il più importante Palazzo nobiliare della città alta. Fu edificato durante il diciottesimo secolo, come mostra anche la data sull' ingresso ( 1752 ) . La pianta rettangolare è frutto di diverse fasi costruttive. La facciata di questo Palazzo ha aspetto misto, poiché il Barocco tardo settecentesco si fonde con eleganti elementi decorativi di stile neoclassico. Essa presenta un' imponente portone centrale ai cui lati vi sono due massicci pilastri in pietra bianca, sormontato dallo stemma della famiglia Impellizzeri. Sopra vi è una grande balconata racchiusa dentro una sontuosa inferriata in ferro battuto. Tutte le finestre ed i balconi sono sormontati da architravi di forma rettangolare ad eccezione di quello centrale sormontato da un timpano semi circolare.
The Palazzo Impellizzeri di San Giacomo (or more simply Palazzo impellizzeri) is the most important noble palace in the upper town. It was built during the eighteenth century, as the date on the entrance also shows (1752). The rectangular plan is the result of several construction phases. The facade of this Palace has a mixed aspect, since the late eighteenth-century Baroque blends with elegant decorative elements in the neoclassical style. It has an imposing central door to whose sides there are two massive white stone pillars, surmounted by the coat of arms of the Impellizzeri family. Above there is a large balcony enclosed within a sumptuous wrought iron railing. All windows and balconies are surmounted by rectangular architraves with the exception of the central one surmounted by a semi-circular tympanum.
