★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il palazzo sorge imponente e maestoso alla vista da tutto il centro urbano. Questo a merito della sua unica altezza rispetto ai palazzi storici adiacenti e del marmo d'Istria, che, ornato degli stemmi pontifici di Pio VI, ne delimita i contorni. La facciata interna del cortile presenta uno degli squarci più suggestivi di tutta la Romagna: si tratta di uno splendido loggiato a tre ordini, con colonne in pietra bianca ai due inferiori. Dallo scalone si accede a una loggia ornata da quattro statue di Francesco Calligari (Minerva, Cerere, Gloria e Marte); da qui si accede al grande salone d'onore, caratterizzato dal ciclo pittorico di Giacomo Bolognini, realizzato tra il 1719 e il 1721. Sono presenti tuttora, dono ufficiale e personale dei Papi Pio VI e Pio VII (parenti stretti della famiglia) i busti marmorei raffiguranti gli stessi Papi.
The palace rises imposing and majestic to the sight from the whole urban center. This is due to its unique height compared to the adjacent historic buildings and the marble of Istria, which, adorned with the papal coats of arms of Pius VI, delimits its contours. The inner façade of the courtyard presents one of the most evocative glimpses of the whole Romagna: it is a splendid portico with three orders, with columns in white stone to the lower two. From the staircase leads to a loggia decorated with four statues by Francesco Calligari (Minerva, Cerere, Gloria and Marte); from here you enter the great hall of honor, characterized by the pictorial cycle of Giacomo Bolognini, created between 1719 and 1721. The busts are still present, official and personal gift of Popes Pius VI and Pius VII (close relatives of the family) marble depicting the same Popes.
