 Beautiful building, with large frescoed halls and a beautiful monumental staircase. It hosts exhibitions, conferences, concerts and educational activities.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L'imponente Palazzo Ducale , conosciuto anche come Palazzo della Prefettura , ricostruito nel 1577 dopo un'esplosione , si trova in piazza Napoleone a Lucca ed è uno dei principali edifici della città ; attualmente ospita la Prefettura e la Provincia ; si possono visitare il porticato e i cortili , invece i bellissimi interni solo in occasione di mostre o eventi particolari .
The imposing Palazzo Ducale, also known as Palazzo della Prefettura, rebuilt in 1577 after an explosion, is located in Piazza Napoleone in Lucca and is one of the main buildings in the city; currently it houses the Prefecture and the Province; you can visit the porch and courtyards, instead the beautiful interiors only on the occasion of exhibitions or particular events.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissima esperienza, bellissimo palazzo. Ho visitato il palazzo Ducale in occasione del Lucca Comics ed è stato davvero meraviglioso. Oltre alle mostre nelle diverse camere e all'ambiente (luci, musiche di sottofondo), c'è tanto da apprezzare proprio nel palazzo. Appena alzavi lo sguardo c'erano affreschi sui muri e vedere la modernità dei disegni della mostra, che potevano essere fumetti, e gli affreschi, era da metterti i brividi.
Beautiful experience, beautiful building. I visited the Ducal Palace at the Lucca Comics and it was really wonderful. In addition to the exhibitions in the different rooms and the environment (lights, background music), there is so much to appreciate right in the building. As soon as you looked up there were frescos on the walls and to see the modernity of the drawings of the exhibition, which could be comics, and the frescoes, it was to put the chills.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ho visitato questo palazzo durante l'evento di Lucca Comics e sono rimasto molto soddisfatto. Essendo una struttura molto grande al suo interno c'erano a dispozione diverse mostre e non vedo l'ora di tornare a Lucca per visitare nuove eventi in questa splendida struttura. Lascio solo quattro stelle per il semplice motivo che la manutenzione e la pulizia del posto non erano proprio il massimo, sia all'interno del palazzo, sia nel giardino interno.
I visited this palace during the Lucca Comics event and was very satisfied. Being a very large structure inside there were several exhibitions available and I can't wait to go back to Lucca to visit new events in this splendid structure. I leave only four stars for the simple reason that the maintenance and cleanliness of the place were not exactly the best, both inside the building and in the internal garden.

The Biennale held its ninth exhibition highlighting works in paper from around the world among the exhibitors were artists from China, Italy, Australia, Japan, and South Africa. Classical and contemporary techniques were on display.
