★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the iconic staircase seen in a lot of Napoli guides. Its this one that’s in the John Turturro film Passione. There is another one near by done by the same architect but in much worse condition. This is a delight compared to the other one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ this is a wind up right? for starters, you can see similar steps in other parts of the city, where I stayed four years ago on monte di Dio, for one. other tourists turned up, bewildered upon arrival. you can't go up the steps, it's forbidden. and the area is really awful / dangerous.
