B	BeSt I Viaggi di Beatrice e Stefano on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In piazza XX Settembre si erge il “Palazzo delle Paure” edificato nel 1916, l’edificio ospitava gli uffici del catasto, delle imposte e della dogana dove le chiesi si recavano a pagare le tasse, da qui deriva il suo nome “delle Paure”. Le forme richiamano caratteristiche architettoniche medievali e rinascimentali, una mescolanza eclettica non sgradevole benché approssimativa. Intorno al 1926 fu costruita anche una torre con finestre e trifore. Sul lato della torre che dà su Piazza XX Settembre fu murato uno stemma in marmo con il Biscione visconteo, risalente forse al 300, che si trovava un tempo sopra una porta d’ingresso proprio della vecchia dogana. L’edificio è oggi sede di esposizioni temporanee e della Sezione d’Arte Contemporanea e della Sezione di grafica e fotografia della Galleria Comunale, dell’Osservatorio Alpinistico Lecchese e del Polo della Montagna, dove sono raccolti manufatti e documenti di proprietà del Cai Lecco. In Piazza XX Settembre stands the "Palazzo delle Paure" built in 1916, the building housed the cadastre, tax and customs offices where the churches went to pay taxes, hence its name "of Fears" . The forms recall medieval and Renaissance architectural features, an eclectic mix that is not unpleasant although approximate. A tower with windows and triple lancet windows was also built around 1926. On the side of the tower overlooking Piazza XX Settembre, a marble coat of arms with the Visconti Biscione was walled up, perhaps dating back to 300, which was once located above an entrance door of the old customs house. The building is now home to temporary exhibitions and the Contemporary Art Section and the Graphic and Photography Section of the Municipal Gallery, the Lecco Mountaineering Observatory and the Polo della Montagna, where artefacts and documents owned by Cai Lecco are collected.

Ho visitato la galleria permanente di arte moderna con alcuni quadri notevoli e poi una bella mostra di fotografia. All'ultimo piano si entra in uno stimolante percorso intorno agli scalatori di Lecco e ai paesaggi e alle montagne lecchesi. Ci ritornerò presto. I was in Lecco for other business and I took a tour of the Palazzo delle Paure. I saw a nice exhibition on Macchiaioli and post Macchiaioli. I visited the permanent modern art gallery with some notable paintings and then a nice photography exhibition. On the top floor you enter a stimulating path around the climbers of Lecco and the landscapes and mountains of Lecco. I'll be back soon.
