★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Questo elegante palazzo cinquecentesco, nato forse come casa palazzata dei Castromediano, passò poi ai Prioli, nobile famiglia di origine veneta. Le prime notizie su questa famiglia in Lecce risalgono al 1411, quando Angela, di Colella Prioli, fu scomunicata dal Papa ed ebbe tutti i suoi beni confiscati. La famiglia si estinse nel 1623 con Vittorio, celebre umanista, e il palazzo passò in proprietà di Antonello Montefuscoli, Barone di Uggiano.
Molto rovinato dal tempo e dagli interventi umani conserva ancora l’elegante portone a bugne piane e le finestre a centina sul prospetto, oltre al ballatoio pensile. Sull’angolo lo stemma dei Prioli “Un albero di pino terrazzato al naturale entro una corona di foglie”
Fortunatamente nei primi mesi del 2019 sono iniziati i lavori di restauro del palazzo.
 This elegant sixteenth-century palace, perhaps born as a palatial house of the Castromedians, then passed to the Prioli, a noble family of Venetian origin. The first information about this family in Lecce dates back to 1411, when Angela, of Colella Prioli, was excommunicated by the Pope and had all her assets confiscated. The family died out in 1623 with Vittorio, a famous humanist, and the palace passed into the ownership of Antonello Montefuscoli, Baron of Uggiano.
Very ruined by time and human interventions, it still preserves the elegant door with flat ashlars and the curved windows on the façade, in addition to the hanging balcony. On the corner the Prioli coat of arms "A natural terraced pine tree within a crown of leaves"
Fortunately, in the early months of 2019 the restoration work on the building began.
