★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The palace and (especially) gardens on this delightful island are glorious (on a sunny day). It’s €17 a ticket (as of June 2019) for access to both (it can’t be one or the other) which seems quite steep but overall the spectacular gardens did make it worthwhile and a must for anyone while at the lake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow. Very grand, huge and interesting Palace. Well worth a visit. The gardens are also very impressive with far reaching views across the lake. Would highly recommend a visit and at €17 worth it. Lots of places to eat and drink aswell. Easily accessed by boat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is by far the most interesting island of the 3 that you can visit on this tour. We took the boat from Stresa which is one of the closest town in the area. As mentioned in various posts, the islands can be visited by using a huge variety of boat operators. We took the big boat boat instead of using one of the various charters. This was a very good choice as they come and go on each island every 30 minutes. The wait to get on them is never long and the time tables on each island are very accurate. We also saw people in wheelchairs boarding the boats and they had a lot of room for them.
As for the palace, it’s amazing what you can do with a lot of money and 3 centuries worth of building time!!!
The attention to details in each room is amazing. The tour makes you go in all the palace and it’s very easy to follow. Several panels (FR/EN/IT) explain the history of the place. We spent 2 hours enjoying the palace and it’s gardens. Worth every pennies!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have been living in Italy quite some time, and although I had visited the island, I never visited the palace because the entrance fee was quite expensive. I must say I am very glad I finally visited, because both the palace on the gardens are quite impressive. After visiting I can say that the price is worth it. There is a lot to visit in the Palace, and the gardens are very beautiful. There are some beautiful white peacocks in the garden which are simply stunning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my Italian friends recommended this place to me. It was such an amazing experience, you shouldn't miss it. Visiting Isola Bella was my first impression of Italy as well. I was amazed by the Italian garden and also the exterior. The white peacock dancing over the monument in a heavenly beautiful garden. The ticket is quite expensive, but it's worth visiting.
Highly recommended!
