★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very poor attitude towards us in serving what we wanted to try. Pure Italian lack of customer service fully demonstrated by the gentleman serving us. They seemed too busy to spend time and offering us a nice sitting environment. Also could not explain the properties of the wine very well. Also did not know if some wines were actually sold through distributors in the USA.
My guess as the first main shop they see a lot of guests and maybe this is frustrating. Consider going further east and south (10-15 min) for amazing experiences as we experienced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our 4-course lunch with wine pairing was the most delightful and special experience of our trip to Tuscany. I can’t recommend this highly enough. The food was divine- from beef tartare to a fois gras sandwich, followed by gnudi and stewed boar, then dessert and coffee - the pours were generous; their wines not only legendary but exquisite. It was also shockingly reasonable at 90 euro/person. Earlier in the day we’d had a tour and tasting at a much less prestigious winery that cost 65- and here we had the most fabulous and interesting meal, and drank Sassicaia!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to after living in Tuscany for 2 years. The food is excellent and the wine selection is extensive. I recommend making a reservation they speak English if you need them too. It is on the road leading into Bolgheri so an Easy stop if you are visiting for the day.
The le difese wine is my favorite they have so we ordered that. Also the cuddle fish pasta was amazing. Their menu changes through the seasons and stuff. Do not miss this place
I will return.
